Scotch Whisky International B.V. (SWI) is a limited liability company, registered, and headquartered in The Netherlands. The company started in 2002 as a whisky trading company to consumers. Since 2007 the primary focus lies on the investment character of Scotch Single Malt Whisky (SSMW).
When in 2014 the Dutch Authorities for the Financial Markets (AFM) granted Scotch Whisky International a license to offer whisky as an official investment object, SSMW started to grow from an unknown alternative into a professional investment product. As per October 2022, the company has offices in 4 countries (Netherlands, Scotland, Belgium and Montenegro) and close cooperations with family offices in the Netherlands and Hong Kong. As of October 2022, SWI manages EUR 226 million in assets on behalf of its clients.
SWI offers asset management solutions for companies and individuals around Scotch single malt whisky. This could be an investment in either bottles, in casks or a mix thereof. Next to that there is the SWI Stock Fund, a closed-end fund with a fixed yield.
