Supporting the unemployment issue, and in particular those furthest away from employment, HSBC announced a major new programme in July 2013, Opportunity Partnership, with a £30 million donation over 3 years to help tackle youth unemployment in the UK. In Scotland alone, during the first year, HSBC will support in excess of 1,100 young people at the the Opportunity Partnership.
