SFE launches second annual impact report ahead of June AGM

Scottish Financial Enterprise has released its latest impact report charting our key strategic progress over the past financial year, from April 2022 – 2023.

The report offers an overview of the key milestones and developments at SFE over the year for the value of our members, partners and stakeholders.

It documents and analyses progress with SFE’s strategic delivery, providing a summary of activity around our strategic themes of growth and competitiveness, net zero, skills and inclusion, and changing customers needs, and demonstrating progress through key policy successes, government engagements, industry initiatives and campaigns.

It also provides an overview of broader industry progress in areas like international competitiveness, reputation and ecosystem development, which are all key factors for our continued success.

The release comes ahead of tonight’s Annual General Meeting and SFE Summer Reception, which is being held at Brodies in Edinburgh.

It highlights a number of key achievements, including:

  • 20% increase in membership

  • 10% increase in net promoter score

  • 62 member events

  • 10 op-eds and 17 news stories broken

  • Growth and development of key networks special interest groups

Writing in the report, Sandy Begbie CBE FRSE, Chief Executive, Scottish Financial Enterprise, said:

“I would like to thank our members, partners and stakeholders for their huge contribution to SFE over the past year. We are hugely grateful for your continued support, which is so important for us to deliver our shared ambition of creating a stronger, more inclusive, and sustainable financial services industry here in Scotland.

“We hope this year’s report will be a useful guide for contextualising where we are and what the future holds for SFE and for financial services in Scotland more broadly.”
